It is truly an honor to be considered for your event. We have assembled a few commonly asked questions below to aid you in your decision making process.
DOES MARY TRAVEL ALONE OR WITH A GROUP?
It all depends on what you would like Mary to provide for your event. Because she offers worship, special music, and speaking/teaching, the options are varied. Most often she travels with her husband, Dan, and they provide background music with high quality custom tracks (typically from her recordings). They spend 5-6 months of the year on the road, and traveling with a band requires far more planning and resources.
HOW DOES SHE TRAVEL?
At this time, Mary, Dan, and their dog Elijah, travel state to state in a Motorhome (fondly named Miss Honey). They stay in RV Parks or churches who are able to offer a 50-amp hookup on their campus. When necessary, Mary travels by air and obtains transportation and lodging accommodations.
WILL SHE SPEAK ON SUNDAY MORNINGS?
With the utmost of respect and upon request of the church leadership, Mary is willing to minister at a Sunday morning service. She takes a very strong “testimonial” approach on Sundays and reserves her teaching material for women’s events. Because of music and her compelling story of God’s grace, Mary has effectively served coed audiences for over 22 years.
WHAT STYLE OF MUSIC DOES MARY SING?
Mary was raised on old hymns, but also loves contemporary Christian music. While she writes and enjoys sharing through special music, her heart has always leaned strongly toward worship. As she was pursuing a career in country music, she became a Christian and was introduced to worship music. Country music and worship collided; thus her unique blend was established. Today, Mary does all she can to ensure a song accurately represents God’s Word.
WILL WE NEED TO PROVIDE SOUND?
As an added service, Mary and Dan travel with a full sound system which ensures a quality sound experience for your event. Once you have decided to invite Mary and Dan to be a part of your event, this will be discussed, along with their arrival time for set-up and sound check.
HOW MUCH TIME IS TYPICALLY NEEDED FOR MARY’S PROGRAM?
It all depends on the structure of the service, concert, conference or retreat. Most commonly, she is offered an hour (or more) to lead worship, share special music, a message, closing prayer, and a final song. This, of course, will be agreed on at the time of scheduling.
WHAT RESOURCES DO YOU OFFER?
Yes! The ministry offers music, Christian apparel, and a jewelry line called “Beloved” after the service or event (sometimes before or during breaks, depending on the event). We would be so grateful if you provide a 6 or 8 ft. table positioned in a visible area. For women’s events Mary would appreciate 2 tables (if possible). She travels with her own tablecloths.
ARE THERE ANY PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS WE CAN USE?
Another yes!!! Please see the Speaking dropdown tab labeled Promotional Materials. There you will find a selection of hi-resolution images and various flyers that can be customized to your liking.
For women’s events, Mary has a variety of graphics to help brand and beautify the visual component of your event (if needed).
WHAT ARE YOUR POSITIONS OF FAITH?
We have posted a Statement of Faith on this website. Please visit the About dropdown tab, to find her positions on matters of the Christian faith.
WHAT DOES MARY REQUIRE FINANCIALLY TO BE A PART OF OUR SERVICE OR EVENT?
Once you have submitted your booking request and ensured that Mary is available for your event, either she or her Executive Assistant, will cover her financial and travel needs. The most important thing is that she is where God wants her to be. Money is secondary. For 22 years she has trusted God and the leadership to provide appropriately.
DO MARY AND DAN ENJOY SPENDING TIME WITH THE LEADERSHIP AND OTHERS WHEN THEY VISIT?
Absolutely!!! There are times when Mary and Dan are unable to spend time with others beyond the event itself. But when able, they prefer a time being set aside to break bread with who they consider “forever family.”
